We are often contacted by people from throughout the state to see if we're a good fit for their legal needs. The first question many people ask is: My case isn't in Boise; can you still help me? The short answer is: Yes; geography ain't the limiter it used to be.
All courts (both federal and state) in Idaho are now part of an electronic court filing system. What once required a personal visit to the Clerk's office, or a FedEx shipment to that same office, now can be done from our computers in Boise. Of course, we'll personally appear at all hearings or trials, but even some minor court proceedings can be handled by associating with counsel where the courthouse is (known as "local counsel").
In fact, today I was in Cascade, Idaho, representing a client on a felony matter. The commute wasn't great (ID 55 was snow-covered), but it was my pleasure to be with my client at the Valley County Courthouse.
No matter where in Idaho your case is, if you like what you see about us, don't let the fact we're in Boise stop you from at least contacting us to see if we can guide you through your legal issue.
