State of Idaho v. Brian Sabol

Mr. Sabol was charged with crimes in three different Ada County cases. In case number CR01-19-8052, he was charged with two counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver and one count of trafficking in marijuana, the State sought a persistent violator finding based on Mr. Sabol's prior criminal convictions. In case number CR01-19-19397, Mr. Sabol was charged with unauthorized use of federal food stamps. In case number CR01-19-25751, Mr. Sabol was indicted by an Ada County grand jury with two (2) counts of trafficking in methamphetamine. Combined, Mr. Sabol could have been sentenced to a total of twelve (12) years fixed, at least 5 years of which would have been mandatory.
Pursuant to a plea agreement with the State, Mr. Sabol pled guilty to one count of possession with the intent to deliver in case number CR01-19-8052 and one count of trafficking in methamphetamine in case number CR01-19-25751. He was sentenced to concurrent 3 year fixed terms with 12 years' concurrent indeterminate in each case.
